What Is Screenflow?
Telestream ScreenFlow® is award-winning screencasting and video editing software for Mac. With high-quality screen, video, audio, iOS capture and powerful editing features, ScreenFlow helps you create incredible looking videos, software tutorials, game or screencasts, motion graphics, and animated GIFs. If you are thinking of working with video, this software is a great option (but is for Mac only!).
What Can I Use Screenflow For?
ScreenFlow can record any part of your screen or the entire monitor while also capturing your video camera, iPad or iPhone, microphone or multi-channel audio interface and your computer’s audio – all at the same time!
How Do You Use Screenflow?
The editor instantly loads your recorded video and audio sources and lets you dive-in to quickly and creatively edit your video, add additional images, clips, text, or more recordings. Then polish it with professional-level animations, video motions, annotations, transitions and filters for incredible looking results.
When you are done, use the built-in sharing to publish your video directly to Vimeo, YouTube, Facebook, Google Drive or Dropbox. You can also export an animated GIF, ProRes file or MP4 directly to your desktop.
If you are just starting out filming and have a Mac, you can use iMovie for free to edit movies, but there are limitations to what it can do. ScreenCast allows you to amp up your production and create a more professional looking video – however, it has a price tag of 99.00 as of writing. You will occasionally find it on offer at discount websites like SumoMe so if you are considering purchasing it, I would Google first to see if there are any discounts available.
